Quick post on this gloomy saturday morning. I’m checking off tons of things on my to-do list (we’ll I’m trying, and it’s a LOT longer than what I posted a few days ago!!) So I wanted to post the 3 ads I made for my last photoshop class in January.
Inspiration:
Upon seeing the choices given to us for this project I decided I simply HAD to get out of my comfort zone and do something totally different. While perusing many photography blogs I love to read, I came upon a unique photography montage that caught my eye.
Suddenly, all I could think of is finding a way to incorporate this layout into my creative process. Yet somehow, it needed more… the inspiration piece itself was too Zen, too simple, for the requirements of this project.
As I’m also pondering the feasibility of starting my own digital scrapbooking business, the idea came to me to take advantage of the “Advertising” category. (That and my husband had been nagging me about just such a thing to promote my business).
Then suddenly the pieces started falling into place. As I’m working on scanning and reviving old photographs (think B&W 1950’s) for my grandparent’s 50th wedding anniversary, I came to realize how many people must have TONS of pictures just rotting away in non acid-free or sticky albums and how those memories will just fade away with time.
Business statement:
What I strive to achieve, while reviving those worn photographs & scrapping the new, is keeping your memories alive to bring you happiness everlasting.
Times Change and Photographs Fade. Go Digital.
I’ll post more later on this
Gotta get ready for IL visit ![]()

Andree, I love those three scraps. They are beautiful and really inspiring to me, and if I needed something like that done, I’d immediately remember those and call you! Good job!
