Tempo land

Yes, I call it that, our street is COVERED with these “tempos” and every time we drive through them I can’t help but call our neighborhood “tempo land” They go up at the beginning of November and people actually have trouble getting them down before the April 1st deadline. In my opinion, they’re an eyesore, but hey, they ARE very useful when you don’t have to de-snow your car every snowfall ![]()

Wow - they are quite ugly aren’t they?
But very handy Im sure! Are they up because there’s no room for garages on the homes?

Yep, there’s not much room between houses and I think as per code, no one can build garages. But some of these homes actually DO have garages already! They just don’t want to pay for snow removal every year (which is about the same as the cost of buying on e of these) and they’re too lazy/old/whatever to do it themselves
