Andrée Caron, On Location Photographer Specializing in Maternity, Newborns & Childrens Custom Portraiture for Montreal Area

If I were to be asked what my favorite part of photographing is, I would have to say, my clients. And I truly do mean that! Family after family, I am always amazed at how happy, thankful and truly awesome they all are! This latest family was no different, or actually, they were. They were even “awesomer” ;) Take some extended family, a language barrier that actually wasn’t a barrier at all, a teenager, a preschooler, a photographer that left her brain some equipment home, some mosquitoes, humidity, a grey flat sky and then add rain to it all. You might think: what a disaster! Well, it couldn’t be further from the truth! These fine people were all about being happy, going with the flow and trying things without a negative word in sight! It couldn’t have gone better! Don’t take my word for it, check these out!

I had the unique pleasure of meeting this family just yesterday morning. Gorgeous, all of them I tell you. I may have to share a little more soon, because the grandparents were there as well and it was a tremendous success all around in my opinion. See for yourselves!

It’s been a long while since I’ve been here. I’ve been busy busy! Working on revamping my brand and hope to slowly incorporate it to the new website. Yep, new website coming, all custom made, courtesy of my very talented husband!

I had an absolute BLAST this afternoon with two very good friends of mine. They probably couldn’t have planned on timing things so perfectly, but fate had another idea. They found out they were both pregnant at about the same time with only a week or so between them! DREAM come true for these best of friends! They are expecting a boy and a girl between them, but don’t be fooled by their shirts ;) As soon as they figured they would go through this pregnancy together, they immediately wanted to share their maternity session ! Both beautiful women with beautiful features!

There is no doubt about it, my little girl has a BFF. They barely met last fall for a bike stroll, before the snows invaded, then we didn’t see them all winter long. When the snows melted and school outings took us wondering, we found out that this new friend actually went to the same preschool close to our home! JOY! Although they didn’t share any classes, that’s the way it happened, we saw them and played with them every few days. Now they have 2 morning classes and 1 afternoon class together (all three my daughter actually attends at all), on top of sharing a 2 minutes bus ride!! HEAVEN! My shy girl is very particular of whom she befriends, so it’s easy for me to say this little redhead is her BFF. She speaks mostly of her and as soon as they separate, the question is *when will I see her again?*.

We invited her to our 5th birthday party and she did the same. Happy Birthday sweet friend!

How sweet it is! The most amazing part of this family, is that they started it all. Their first born, barely two here, was my very first newborn! When did he turn 2! When did this adventure of mine changed from being counted by days and months into years! Their newest addition didn’t even wait for us to reschedule a maternity session! Bookings came up, scheduling conflicts happened and the only day I could *possibly* have photographed this happily patient mum, is the day he decided he’d had enough!

How in the WORLD! Here we are, 5 years old. How can it be! Happy fabulous birthday my little lady.

*she wanted a Dora cake & Jelly Beans… but it also had to be Gluten Free!*

*she wanted face painting*

*she wanted candles to blow out, NOT the #5 sparkler I had lit in the first place*

You’re only 5 once, right? She asked, and she received :)

*Ready for family party the next day*

*more sweet treats, with more GF jelly beans!*

*actual birth DAY, train track expansion set! Playing BEFORE breakfast!!*

I am NOT an event’s photographer. Really, I’ll leave Bar-Mitzvah’s, Weddings and parties to the more event specialised of us. That said, being invited to a ceremony for friends, a private one at that, which is frankly unheard of now, who could resist! I told them I would love to record this day in their family’s history if they’d let me. They jumped on the offer and I had so much fun photographing this church and their private ceremony. Guys, you know I love you! This is just the tip of the story.

Here it is! I promised this little guy he could see pictures of himself with dinosaurs before bed! Let me tell you, he’s a dinosaur “connaisseur”! He could whip out a dinosaur name in three seconds flat… now whether that name actually exists is up for debate, he did quote me some very unusual names, but what do I know about dinosaurs anyway ;)

As promised Mister N, here are your dinosaur pics :P (And one for mommy too!)

I had the highest honor, and let’s face it, FUN photographing this family. I had the pleasure of befriending this awesome woman more than five years ago when we were both pregnant with our firstborns. Now with less then a couple of weeks’ waiting to go, I’m still overwhelmed by the blessing this is for their family and for all of us she calls friend & family. Love you Tara!

I’m telling ya, if you want to be around a fun and happy family, you got to meet the H family! They were so easy to photograph and yet hard to picture it all into one photograph. I’ve not taken so many images since I started this adventure and never have had so many to choose from! They were willing to try ANYTHING and didn’t wait for my direction at all! Just went with it, did their thing and let me capture it on “film”, as it were. I love nice smiley portrait of the happy family, but my real love is those secret moments of the individuals interacting with one another.
