Walker Girls!

These precious little girls were simply the BEST! And like I mention in the sticky post about my family, they were just what I needed that particular early February weekend! I mean, could you resist those eyes or smiles? They made the whole world fade away with their giggles, chatter and joyful laughter! Just looking at these again brightens my day, don't you agree?

Learning in Progress {Montreal Children Photographer}

In early November I had the HUGE pleasure to photograph a different kind of crowd. A little more then a dozen little people and their Pre-K teachers! The kids from Learning in Progress, a GREAT home based preschool program (and truly, this is not a daycare, but truly a preschool!) got the chance to see my sillier side. Here are just a few of their cute little students.

My man C was super easy to photograph and was willing to laugh at any jokes. Maybe it helps that I met him once before, although 2 years is a long time to remember at that age!

This little lady was the shyest of the bunch. I was very lucky to catch her smiling this one time. She was too cute for words!

This next little man was just SO easy to work with as well! Such a natural! Look at those soulful eyes!

Miss T had it down to an art form, let me tell you. I took exactly 4 images of her, two head shots, two full length. I need not have bothered with the back up, they were IDENTICAL! She's got the posing and smiling down pat, and it looks natural and effortless!

Another lovely little miss that was a joy to interact with. Very cute and witty!

And finally, a shy little girl that reminded me of my own. I got her out of her shell easily enough, just had to remember how my oldest girl reacts to strangers and we got along just fine! Here's the proof!

If you know someone with a small (as in, no more than a dozen or so kids) daycare/preschool that are looking for a different type of school portrait, link them up! Even better, get your own child's daycare/preschool to shoot me an email or even give me a call.

Fall Colors {Laval Children Photographer}

While taking some fabulous fall, although chilly, birthday portraits of our new 6 year old, the littlest one wanted to join in the fun too. I ended up with this gorgeous piece titled : "Réflexion" which translates roughly to "Thoughts" or my artistic translation "Deep thought" ... which won 3rd place people's choice for fall theme while it was on display at one of our cities many public libraries! Can you believe I didn't even find the time to visit the expo myself?! Well, I didn't find the time to blog either!

Happy Birthday!

Continuing our fall timeline, my own 5 year old turned 6 mid-October! How dare she, right? I snapped a few images when her Grand-parents came over, a few on her actual birthday and honestly, none at all during her kid-only party. Being the Queen Hostess of the Princesses (and Prince!) Royal Ball, there very literally was no time to spare! Of course, now you all wonder how wonderful everything must have looked with me using all those official titles! lol I'll see what I can dig up from that day, maybe someone wielded another camera??

Greenspon Family {Montreal Family Photographer}

The October weekend after Toronto, I had the great pleasure of photographing my great friends and their two wonderful boys. The fall colors could not have been more perfect and the boys were great sports, sniffles and all! They did great!

Season of plenty! {Laval Children Photographer}

Where to start? I'll post something about this fall every few days and into the new year. I have a lot to share, but had little time to share it! Let's start with Back to School! My eldest girl started Kindergarten! No seriously, no kidding, I'm a mom to a kindergartener! In hind sight, I can totally believe it, but I was still a little shocked some days in the beginning. It would take me by surprise in the middle of the day, especially around nap time. The house would be SO quiet. Not to mention the littlest one quite enjoyed the freedom of play. Well, she did start saying she missed her big sister after a couple hours. Thank goodness for imaginations :)

She also took her very first BIG YELLOW BUS ride! She rides a good half hour to school morning and night. Makes for some LONG days and some tearful evenings. Me thinks it might be high time to give them both a vitamin boost for the winter!

And then, my youngest went and grew up to start Pre-K! So not fair... then again, guess what I did the very first day when both of them were away... 2 hours of blissful NOTHING! No blogging, no working, no phone, no cooking, no cleaning, no nothing. I could enjoy a book without being interrupted, needing to clean someone, feed someone, etc. Good times. Of course, life goes on and all things do need to get done ;)

Doyon Family {Boisbriand Family Photographer}

[lang_en]If I were to be asked what my favorite part of photographing is, I would have to say, my clients. And I truly do mean that! Family after family, I am always amazed at how happy, thankful and truly awesome they all are! This latest family was no different, or actually, they were. They were even "awesomer" ;) Take some extended family, a language barrier that actually wasn't a barrier at all, a teenager, a preschooler, a photographer that left her brain some equipment home, some mosquitoes, humidity, a grey flat sky and then add rain to it all. You might think: what a disaster! Well, it couldn't be further from the truth! These fine people were all about being happy, going with the flow and trying things without a negative word in sight! It couldn't have gone better! Don't take my word for it, check these out![/lang_en][lang_fr]Si quelqu'un me demandait ce que je préfère de mes sessions photos, honnêtement, je dirais mes clients!

Ochoa-Fenwick Family {Montreal Family Photographer}

I had the unique pleasure of meeting this family just yesterday morning. Gorgeous, all of them I tell you. I may have to share a little more soon, because the grandparents were there as well and it was a tremendous success all around in my opinion. See for yourselves!

Laura & Marie-Eve {Montreal Maternity Photographer}

[lang_en]It's been a long while since I've been here. I've been busy busy! Working on revamping my brand and hope to slowly incorporate it to the new website. Yep, new website coming, all custom made, courtesy of my very talented husband! I had an absolute BLAST this afternoon with two very good friends of mine. They probably couldn't have planned on timing things so perfectly, but fate had another idea. They found out they were both pregnant at about the same time with only a week or so between them! DREAM come true for these best of friends! They are expecting a boy and a girl between them, but don't be fooled by their shirts ;) As soon as they figured they would go through this pregnancy together, they immediately wanted to share their maternity session ! Both beautiful women with beautiful features! Aucun doute! Deux si belles femmes, voyez vous même! [/lang_fr]

Best friends and birthday parties!

There is no doubt about it, my little girl has a BFF. They barely met last fall for a bike stroll, before the snows invaded, then we didn't see them all winter long. When the snows melted and school outings took us wondering, we found out that this new friend actually went to the same preschool close to our home! JOY! Although they didn't share any classes, that's the way it happened, we saw them and played with them every few days. Now they have 2 morning classes and 1 afternoon class together (all three my daughter actually attends at all), on top of sharing a 2 minutes bus ride!! HEAVEN! My shy girl is very particular of whom she befriends, so it's easy for me to say this little redhead is her BFF. She speaks mostly of her and as soon as they separate, the question is *when will I see her again?*. We invited her to our 5th birthday party and she did the same. Happy Birthday sweet friend!

G Family {Montreal Family Photographer}

How sweet it is! The most amazing part of this family, is that they started it all. Their first born, barely two here, was my very first newborn! When did he turn 2! When did this adventure of mine changed from being counted by days and months into years! Their newest addition didn't even wait for us to reschedule a maternity session! Bookings came up, scheduling conflicts happened and the only day I could *possibly* have photographed this happily patient mum, is the day he decided he'd had enough!

Happy 5th Birthday!

How in the WORLD! Here we are, 5 years old. How can it be! Happy fabulous birthday my little lady.

*she wanted a Dora cake & Jelly Beans... but it also had to be Gluten Free!*

*she wanted face painting*

*she wanted candles to blow out, NOT the #5 sparkler I had lit in the first place*

You're only 5 once, right? She asked, and she received :)

*Ready for family party the next day*

*more sweet treats, with more GF jelly beans!*

*actual birth DAY, train track expansion set! Playing BEFORE breakfast!!*

Baptism {Vaudreuil Family Photographer}

I am NOT an event's photographer. Really, I'll leave Bar-Mitzvah's, Weddings and parties to the more event specialised of us. That said, being invited to a ceremony for friends, a private one at that, which is frankly unheard of now, who could resist! I told them I would love to record this day in their family's history if they'd let me. They jumped on the offer and I had so much fun photographing this church and their private ceremony. Guys, you know I love you! This is just the tip of the story.

T Family {Montreal Family Photographer}

Here it is! I promised this little guy he could see pictures of himself with dinosaurs before bed! Let me tell you, he's a dinosaur "connaisseur"! He could whip out a dinosaur name in three seconds flat... now whether that name actually exists is up for debate, he did quote me some very unusual names, but what do I know about dinosaurs anyway ;) As promised Mister N, here are your dinosaur pics :P (And one for mommy too!)

H Family {Montreal Maternity Photographer}

I had the highest honor, and let's face it, FUN photographing this family. I had the pleasure of befriending this awesome woman more than five years ago when we were both pregnant with our firstborns. Now with less then a couple of weeks' waiting to go, I'm still overwhelmed by the blessing this is for their family and for all of us she calls friend & family. Love you Tara!

H Family {Montreal Family Photographer}

I'm telling ya, if you want to be around a fun and happy family, you got to meet the H family! They were so easy to photograph and yet hard to picture it all into one photograph. I've not taken so many images since I started this adventure and never have had so many to choose from! They were willing to try ANYTHING and didn't wait for my direction at all! Just went with it, did their thing and let me capture it on "film", as it were. I love nice smiley portrait of the happy family, but my real love is those secret moments of the individuals interacting with one another.

C-V Family {Montreal Family Photographer}

I had the immense pleasure of photographing this FUN family! It was a thrill to capture their kids expression! Imagine a sweet 7 year old girl that is obviously born to be a leader and a wee 2 year old brother that has one thing in mind, doing what he wants to do and forget about everyone else! I guess that describes just about every 2 year old on the planet, right? Well, they were a blast, had lots of ideas and let me go to town with their furniture so we could get the sweetest portraits!

G family {Montreal Family Photographer}

I love these guys! Seriously, what's not to love, they are caring, welcoming and they just have the best vibe! And really, who could resist this little guy? I couldn't! :P

Sienna {Montreal Newborn Photographer}

World, meet Sienna, a wonderfully laid back little girl with personality ;) She doesn't have much choice being the little sister to a very active and confident big sister :) She was a great combination of awake and asleep and Mom and Dad we're a pleasure as before (remember the B Family?) It was a blast and I had WAY too much fun and too much to choose from :)I can't wait for them to see their images tomorrow morning, for now, we'll all have to make due with this sneak peek :)

D-C Family {Montreal Maternity Photographer}

I had the great opportunity to photograph this wonderful family, I felt so much at home at some point I told little Laurie I was going outside, but said "mommy's going outside"!! She reminds me SO much of my own little toddler! They we're adorable and that little princess of theirs was just so precious I wanted to keep her ;) But don't take MY word for it...

B Family {Montreal Maternity Photographer}

It was a joy to photograph this beautiful family yesterday morning, if only the weather had cooperated a bit more, it had my mind racing all weekend! Hopefully it didn't make me come across too green, although I still am I guess. They we're great sports and we're quite willing to just be themselves while I made due with the variable lighting the very somber dark skies we had that day.

Just a sneak peek for them and you all, sort of anonymous really ;)

sweet naya and belly baby

Growing Family

Splashing good time! {Laval Family Photographer}

Candids from Gabrielle's swim lessons! Let me tell you, this place is in the basement of a private home (although there's a salon on the first floor), the ceiling is painted black! half the walls are yellow and the top half is white. Yikes! But the subjects we're just the cutest! See for yourself:
